1. About us and these terms
These terms apply to every course booking and product purchase made with The Advanced Aesthetics & Skin Academy. By booking a course or placing an order, you agree to them, so please read them carefully before you pay.
The Advanced Aesthetics & Skin Academy LTD is registered in England and Wales under company number 16666287. Our registered office is 129 Lockesley Drive, Orpington, BR5 2AD.
In these terms, “we”, “us” and “the Academy” mean The Advanced Aesthetics & Skin Academy LTD. “You” means the person booking a course or buying a product.
You can contact us by email at admin@aestheticsandskinacademy.co.uk, by phone on 07717 526528, or on WhatsApp using the same number.
2. Booking and eligibility
Your place on a course is confirmed once we’ve received your payment or deposit and sent you a booking confirmation by email.
Each course lists its entry requirements on its course page. For example, our Foundation Botulinum Toxin and Foundation Dermal Filler courses require six months of needling experience. By booking, you confirm that you meet the entry requirements for your chosen course and that the information you’ve given us is true.
We may ask for proof of your qualifications or experience before your course starts. If you don’t meet the entry requirements, we’ll move your booking and payment to a more suitable course.
You must be at least 18 years old to book a course, unless a course page states a different minimum age.
We may refuse a booking at our discretion, for example where a course is full or we don’t believe it’s suitable for you. If we refuse a booking, we’ll refund any payment you’ve made.
If you give us false or misleading information when booking, for example about your qualifications, experience or health, we may cancel your booking or remove you from your course without a refund. We may also withhold your certificate.
3. Fees, payment and payment plans
Course fees are shown on each course page and at checkout. Unless stated otherwise, fees include training, course materials, models, your certificate and access to the student portal. Starter kits aren’t included in the course fee and are charged separately.
You can pay in full at booking or, where offered, use a payment plan. Individual courses can be paid over 6 months and the full Level 3 to 7 pathway can be paid over 12 months.
If you choose a payment plan:
- You agree to pay the full course fee, even if you stop attending, choose not to finish the course or don’t complete your assessments.
- Payments are taken on the dates agreed at booking. It’s your responsibility to make sure funds are available.
- If a payment is missed, we’ll contact you. If it isn’t paid within 7 days, we may pause your access to course materials, the student portal and any upcoming training days until your account is up to date.
- Certificates are only issued once your course has been paid in full.
We may change our course prices at any time, but any change won’t affect a booking that’s already been confirmed.
Chargebacks. If you have a concern about a payment or your course, please contact us at admin@aestheticsandskinacademy.co.uk before raising a chargeback or dispute with your bank or card provider, and give us a reasonable chance to put things right. Raising a chargeback doesn’t end your agreement to pay the full course fee.
4. Cancellations, transfers and refunds
All course fees and deposits are non-refundable once your booking is confirmed. Our full Refund and Cancellation Policy forms part of these terms and is available on our website.
In summary:
- In-person courses. If you can’t attend, contact us at least 14 days before your course and we’ll try to move you to another date as a one-off transfer. Late requests or not attending on the day mean you lose your place and payment.
- Online courses. When you buy an online course, you agree that access starts straight away and that you lose your 14-day right to cancel once access has been given.
- If we cancel. If we need to cancel or reschedule a course, we’ll offer you a new date. If none of the new dates suit you, we’ll refund what you’ve paid for that course.
- Products. Products, including starter kits, are non-refundable unless they’re faulty, damaged or not as described.
Sometimes we may need to cancel or reschedule a course for reasons outside our control, such as trainer illness, a problem with the venue, severe weather or a supplier issue. We’ll let you know as soon as we can by email or WhatsApp and offer you a new date, as set out above. We aren’t responsible for travel, accommodation or other costs you’ve paid in connection with your course, so we recommend booking these on a flexible or refundable basis.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
5. Attendance, conduct and models
Please arrive on time for each training day. If you arrive more than 30 minutes late, or miss part of the course, we may not be able to sign off your training on that day. Any extra session needed to catch up may be charged at our standard rate.
We expect all students to behave professionally and respectfully towards trainers, other students and models. We may ask you to leave a course, without a refund, if you:
- behave in a way that’s unsafe, abusive or disruptive
- attend under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- don’t follow your trainer’s instructions or our health and safety and infection control procedures
You must tell us before your course about any medical condition, allergy or pregnancy that could affect your ability to train safely.
Models. We provide models for practical training, unless a course page says otherwise. If you’re asked to bring your own model, they must be over 18, meet the treatment’s suitability criteria and complete a consultation and consent form. If a model doesn’t attend or isn’t suitable to treat, we’ll do our best to find an alternative, but we can’t guarantee this.
For safety and confidentiality, you mustn’t take photos or videos of models, other students or the training room without permission.
6. Online courses and the student portal
Once your payment is confirmed, you’ll be given access to your course through our student portal. Unless a course page says otherwise, your access lasts for the lifetime of the course.
Your login is for you only. You mustn’t share it or let anyone else access your course. If we find that an account is being shared, we may suspend access without a refund.
Online CPD courses are theory only. They don’t include practical training and don’t qualify you to carry out treatments on clients.
We’ll do our best to keep the portal available at all times, but we can’t guarantee it will always be free from interruptions or technical issues. If a course is withdrawn or changed, we’ll give you reasonable notice and make sure you can still complete what you’ve paid for.
7. Course materials and intellectual property
All course materials belong to the Academy. This includes training manuals, presentations, videos, portal content, assessments and templates.
You may use them for your own learning and professional practice. You mustn’t copy, share, sell, publish or use them to train others, either in full or in part, without our written permission.
If you use our materials in breach of these terms, we may remove your portal access and take further action to protect our work.
8. Photos, reviews and testimonials
We often take photos and videos during training to share on our website and social media. We’ll ask for your permission before using any photos or videos of you in our marketing, and you can withdraw it at any time by emailing admin@aestheticsandskinacademy.co.uk.
If you leave us a review or testimonial, you agree that we may use it, in full or in part, on our website, social media and marketing materials, along with your first name. You can ask us to stop using it at any time.
Photos and videos of models are only used with their separate written consent.
9. Certification, insurance and practising after training
You’ll receive your certificate once you’ve completed all parts of your course, passed any required assessments and paid your course fee in full. ProQual qualifications are awarded by ProQual in line with their own requirements and timescales. Masterclasses are not CPD certified unless the course page says so.
Completing a course doesn’t automatically mean you can practise or get insured. It’s your responsibility to:
- arrange your own insurance before treating clients, and check that your insurer accepts your qualifications
- work within your scope of practice and follow all relevant laws, regulations and licensing requirements
- buy, store and use products legally, including any prescription-only medicines, which must be prescribed by a qualified prescriber
The Academy isn’t responsible for any treatment you carry out after your training, or for any outcome, complaint or claim that results from it.
We can’t guarantee any particular results from your training. Completing a course doesn’t guarantee that you’ll find clients, earn a particular income or build a successful business. Examples of past students’ success, including testimonials, show what others have achieved and aren’t a promise of what you’ll achieve.
10. Products
Starter kits are handed to you on your training day. Any products we supply are only for use by qualified practitioners where the product requires it, and we may ask for proof of your qualifications or insurance before supplying them.
If a product is faulty, damaged or not as described, please tell us within 7 days of receiving it, with your order number and a photo, and we’ll arrange a replacement or refund.
11. Our liability
We take care to make sure our training is accurate and up to date, and we’re responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms.
We aren’t responsible for any loss of income, business or opportunity, or for losses that weren’t foreseeable when you booked. Our total liability to you for any course or order won’t be more than the amount you paid for it.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can’t be limited under UK law.
12. Your personal data
We use your personal information to manage your booking, training, certification and payments, and to keep in touch with you about your course. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect your data.
13. Complaints
If you’re unhappy with any part of your training or purchase, please email admin@aestheticsandskinacademy.co.uk with details. We’ll acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and aim to resolve it within 14 working days.
If we can’t resolve your complaint between us, we both agree to try mediation with an independent, accredited mediator before taking legal action. This doesn’t affect your right to go to court or to contact your bank or card provider.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version shown on our website when you book is the one that applies to your booking.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
16. General
These terms, together with our Refund and Cancellation Policy and Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us. They replace anything said or agreed before your booking, unless we’ve confirmed it in writing.
If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest will still apply. If we don’t enforce any of these terms straight away, we can still enforce them later.
You can’t transfer your booking or these terms to another person without our written permission. Nobody other than you and us has any rights under these terms.
