Throughout the course, you’ll develop a thorough understanding of skin anatomy and physiology, skin assessment, consultation procedures, indications and contraindications, blade technique, treatment protocols, client aftercare, and complications management. Particular focus is placed on achieving safe, consistent results whilst adapting treatments to individual client skin types and concerns.

Combining detailed theory with hands-on practical training, you’ll gain supervised experience performing dermaplaning treatments, leaving you confident in both your technique and your client management.

Dermaplaning can be used to improve a range of common skin concerns, including:

• Vellus hair (peach fuzz) removal
• Dull and lacklustre skin
• Uneven skin texture
• Fine lines and dry skin
• Product absorption and makeup application
• General skin radiance and smoothness

By using a sterile surgical blade to gently exfoliate the outermost layer of the skin, dermaplaning removes dead skin cells and vellus hair, leaving the skin smoother, brighter, and better able to absorb skincare products.
